Hailing from the slums of Los Kempos, Belgian three-piece Itches was awakened from cryogenic sleep paralysis in 2020 and has been creeping on stages ever since. The band’s sound is pickled in the flavor of cheap canned beer and is a potent cocktail of garage rock and roll, 60s freakbeat, proto-punk, krautrock, and heavy psych jangle. Taking cues from garage rock saviors like Black Lips and Ty Segall, while channeling the unhinged energy of Thee Oh Sees, Itches carve out a sound as chaotic as James Brown riding a unicycle down the highway in the wrong direction.
