Welcome to BADLANDS

Inspired by 60s and 70s countercultures, BADLANDS is where subcultures and free spirits meet. It’s 3 days out of the system and all about the love of music, vintage freedom machines, BMX and skate. But also food culture, alternative live music and some proper ink slinging. It’s for those who embrace the unconventional and keep it alive. It’s for those who don’t take themselves too seriously. It’s for the love of one another, and most importantly: for the love of one heck of a party.

Mark yer calendars. 22, 23 & 24 August 2025. BADLANDS #1. Lottum (NL). Let’s roll.

BADLANDS takes place just outside a little town called Lottum, in the North of Limburg, The Netherlands. Navigate to: Stokterweg 14, Lottum and you’ll find the place!

BADLANDS is a real DIY festival all about the love of choppers, music, BMX, skate and that surfin’ spirit. We’re talking food culture, alternative live music and some proper ink slinging. It’s for those who embrace the unconventional and keep it alive. It’s for those who don’t take themselves too seriously. It’s for the love of one another, and most importantly: for the love of one heck of a party.

It seems we have forgotten what festivals are really about: living life to the fullest while enjoying a bit of music, arts, and a whole lotta good company. BADLANDS is bringing it back to basics. No fancy gimmicks that’ll cost you an arm, a leg and then some. What you see is what you get. Good vibes and great times. 3 days out of the system and an alternative to the mainstream modern-day festivals.

€3,-

We try to keep things as cheap as possible without bankrupting ourselves.

To keep the grounds clean & tidy, we work with recycle tokens. You get one for free when entering the festival. Slam it on the bar when ordering your first beer. Want a new one? Bring your old cup and you’ll still be paying 1 token for 1 beer.

It’s government policy and the Badlands grass gets cut for animals. We like animals and we don’t want them to eat plastic. Thanks for understanding.

Yes! There is a campsite. Only for visitors who choose a full weekend ticket. We unfortunately don’t have enough space to give campsite access to people with a Friday, Saturday or Sunday Ticket.

We’ve got 25 teepees on offer! You can book yours here: https://badlands-tipi.nl/

The tent has enough space for two thick mattresses and there is enough space to store your luggage.

The shape of this tent also allows you to stand while dressing.

Sure thing! Book your locker in advance to be sure of one. At the festival we’ve got limited lockers available.

Medium:
2-3 jackets (25x25x40cm)
Large:

Everyone has their own form of transport. Walking, bicycling, driving or riding. We support you all, and we will await you with open arms.

For those who are riding a pre-1984 motorcycle, you can ride right into the BADLANDS festival field. This is not to exclude anyone, but to maintain the vibe we are going for. We mainly support the traditional 50s, 60s and 70s custom cycles. But if you are riding something pre ‘84 and gave it your own obscure twist, feel free to ride it into the party grounds. For all modern bikes and cars, there will be a parking spot for you. Our Badlands family will give you directions when you arrive.

Both works! But bring some cash if you want to get tattooed or buy stuff from one of the vendors.

Sure thing! Want a stand? Do some creative stuff? We’re open for all. Hit is up: badlandsfest@gmail.com
